Seven Times single release

Just wondering if there are any details of when this is coming out? I'm assuming that it will be released on cd, and hoping for vinyl as well  :)

Don't know if it's mentioned at the main site news but what would be the amount of songs in it? Curious if the single contains songs which didn't end up on BDAW... Just thinking.

I thought it was just an e-single. Like March in September. I'm not expecting an actual cd or any extra tracks except for some of those remixes maybe.

Would be happy to be wrong about this, though.

I would love to see a vinyl release with a b-side unreleased track(s) - maybe a limited edition for Record Store Day 2014. Would be great to see the band support this  :D

Beautiful idea Blink - but I can't play vinyl anymore! Think I've still got my Pioneer turntable gathering dust somewhere minus a needle. Can you still get needles?? Shit I've got old  ;D

You can buy a new turntable for less than 80 € (that`s perhaps the price of a new needle), coverting lp to mp3 ;)

Although I haven't bought one yet, there are plenty of not-terribly-expensive turntables with an MP3 conversion facility out there...

Personally, I'm still hoping for a physical release of 7T... hopefully with a couple of great new tracks, lets face it, some of NMA's best ever stuff has been b-sides... wow, that expression must mean nothing to the downloading kiddies nowadays...

And I think that turntables have got more quality in their designing these days. You could even conceal or cover them inside your racks if you want to.

I still have a perfectly good turn table on a Kenwood tower.

I never use it. I don't like vinyl. I thought it was greeeat when CDs came in. I remember some of the crap music centres I had in the 1980s, crackling and jumping when the needle started to blunt. Remember those players where you could stack several singles, then pull over a retaining arm, and they would drop down and play one after the other ?, but it seemed to take ages, and often dropped two at a time.

I have stacks of LPs and 7 inches of stuff that I don't have on other formats, I just don't bother with them.

Long live CD !!, although I am sure that will become obsolete soon, and all music down loaded.

Bloomin' crikey, Shush, that's a blast from the past, I remember that ad!

I also have a mountain of vinyl... its stashed away at my mums house in a cupboard, no room for it in my tiny flat!

So many rare tracks there that I can't find on CD... but lets face it, you can find anything on the internet nowadays!  Was looking at rare old Rollins Band tracks the other day and found everything I was looking for...

Still would like a CD release for 7X, though...

Me to M/Ray, I would buy it.

Just wanted to throw a counter view into the hat. I accept some of us old farts are sentimental for vinyl, but I likes me CDs, an always have.

Remember when I started my first job, something I soon did was take out a lone to get a tower with a CD player. Then I lost mi job, but that's  different story.

No one seems to miss tapes. I used them a lot in the 80s

Regarding b sides, seems that's mostly a lost art, all around the music world.  I would have liked to have asked something about this in the Q&A.  I wonder if the number of songs on BDAW means that there are simply no songs left to be used as b sides.  There weren't any for TIAGD or High, either.  Last I can recall is the BD3 EP, also the last physical single release, wasn't it?  Seems like this might be a good way to release some of the lost treasures, a la One Bullet on the BD3 EP.

There's just something about the warmth of vinyl that I love. But yeah, I'm not a complete Luddite. I would usually buy a new album on cd and vinyl, if available. The in car turntable never really caught on, after all  :)
I can even see the advantages of having your entire music collection stored on a device that can fit in your back pocket. Never did like cassettes though. I think the only pre recorded tape I ever bought was Impurity, because Marrakesh wasn't on the lp version.

Anna, if your old turntable is still in working order, there are websites that will surely have a replacement stylus for it. You just need either the stylus number, or the model number of your record player. They're usually about 15 quid though.

And I defy anyone to listen to Living In The Rose on cd, then the 12" single version, and not hear the difference in warmth and depth of sound. Pay particular attention to that wonderful guitar solo.
