Severe Addiction....... we shall see, just a thought do you need to read his books in order or are they all stand alone stories ?..
I would read the books in order.. The Harry Hole -series: The Bat / Cocroaches / The Redbreast / Nemesis / The Devil's Star / The Redeemer / The Snowman / The Leopard / Phantom / Police / The Thirst / Knife
As I mentioned, The Bat was the first book I read... After that, the book I found from second-hand shelf was The Leopard - quite a leap! So I read Phantom and Police next, then jumped back to beginning, The Snowman the book I read last (The Thirst and Knife weren't yet published)

Well, worked that way also but as mentioned, better to read in order, to follow Harry's character and people around him.. After few years, I read all books again - I have phenomenally bad memory what it comes to details and plot twists and all, many times I didn't even remember who was the murderer!

From his stand-alone novels ''The Headhunters'' is my fave
