I just quickly re-read a kind of stupid-but-entertaining book I re-found from my bookshelf - ''Jim Giraffe'' by Daren King. It's a ghost story about a ghost giraffe.
''Scott Spectrum is being haunted by a ghost giraffe named Jim. Scott thinks he’s a man how has everything — a high-speed internet connection, alien-shaped slippers, and a beautiful wife called Continence. But Scott hasn’t touched her in years and she’s been left furiously polishing the sideboard, dreaming of black stallions. Jim Giraffe knows a lot about sex, luckily. He also loves pizza and beer and has breath that smells of tree-tops.''
Well, yeah, it's a stupid but entertaining book.

Well. I havent read in years and year. However for some reason My interest in books is taking off. Im reading Into the Wild, the book that started the film, about Christopher McCandless.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

First off-topic: Ain't it a bit quiet in the forum....? And where's cthulhu?  :'( :)

Anyway...

I've done some more re-reading, just finished Haruki Murakami's ''Wind Pinball'', which is actually a paperback with two of his first books ''Hear the Wind Sing'' and ''Pinball, 1973''. Enough time had passed that I didn't remember much of those... This time I especially enjoyed the Pinball novel :)
Looking forward to continuing to ''A Wild Sheep Chase'' and ''Dance Dance Dance'', the books that share the same main characters. When I try to remember these books now, it feels like trying to remember a dream. I do remember the darkness in the corridor...

I'm missing funny books... Just checked & found this book in stock from a nearby book store... I ordered it (and five others...), going to pick it up tomorrow  :)

Damn restrictions, one thing I do miss is to actually visit a book store, spend some time there browsing in peace... now it's just a pick-up point for online orders... Well, that's better than nothing, of course.

Yes! I just started reading it, absolutely love his style... only read sixty-odd pages, giggling  ;D
But the story of the author himself is heartbreaking  :'(

Bought Arne Dahl last week, knowing Berger&Bloom No 1 and 2 (7-1 and 6x2)
No 3 (5+3) was less good than the other ones (A-team) or B&B, without B&B 1 and 2 not a good choice to start, but
the next one 4/4 is very good and  easier to understand without knowing the others

And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me
Perhaps - I am the master of nothing?
