I don't go out that often to concerts, mostly 'cause where I live there's lack of places that I'd fancy... But I went to see an RHCP cover band last summer. And just when I was in the middle of headbanging, jumping and yelling the lyrics I looked around myself and found out that 90% of the crowd I was among were my schoolmates' children...

On a vaguely related note... I'm dying to see the new Shaun The Sheep movie... I'm not being silly, LOVE those Aardman Animation flicks like Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run... and Shaun The Sheep is one of the funniest shows on TV, honestly... trailer for the movie here...

But I don't have kids... just HOW does a man of my age go to a childrens movie on his own without, lets face it, looking like some creepy kiddie-fiddler?

Thats simple. Buy some very thick NHS glasses, some Farah trousers held up with a piece of string and dont wash your hair for a few weeks. No-one will bat an eyelid.

Popped up to the Lad's room a while back to chat about something. He's listening to "The Bitter End" - Placebo.  "Nice" I say, He says to me "Eh?" totally confused. "Placebo I say pointing at the speakers. "Oh" comes the reply "Just some old band on my mates playlist".

Old band ? ? ? They still feel like new young whippersnappers to me ! Frack - dear oh dear, where did the years go.............................
