How do you know you're getting old...

Despite wearing contact lenses and glasses, dependant on what time of day it is, and subsequently having perfectly good vision, I've recently started to notice that I'm slightly struggling to read books that are an arms length (or less) away from me... it somewhat shits me up because my grandmother went blind... thinking that I might need bi-focal glasses... anyone else got experience of this stuff?

Kind of. Got my eyes tested last year and the optician mentioned that as I got older I might struggle to focus on things close up and would need bi-focals eventually. My eyesight hasnt changed since I was 16. Sure enough within a few months I do and have to take my bins off. I guess its one of those things. Only happens with glasses though, not lenses.

Was short sighted from the age of 16, but in the last couple of years now need reading glasses. Apparently your eye balls shrink as you get older. Your 40's being a turning point for this.My balls must have shrunk a bit.

I'm still on the vanity kick , my mirror does lie through these myopic eyes , seriously there not that bad though last time I went to the opticians n tried on a pair , I was like wow  are things meant to look like this.
Can't say I've noticed any difference on the testicles lol , maybe I'm being short sighted lol

OK, new one... when you hear a new trendy expression (that 'da kids' are using all the time), use it in a perfectly innocent fashion and then subsequently find out what it actually means to 'da kids'....

In this case, it's 'Netflix and Chill'... I genuinely thought it meant "Hey, mate, my old friend of many years, let's hang out at mine for a bit with a few cans of beer, we'll watch a few episodes of 'Sons Of Anarchy' and relax in front of a perfectly respectable internet based TV service..., we'll 'Netflix and Chill'..."

Nope.  Doesn't mean that nowadays, apparently.
