OK.... I'd never heard of 'Uber' before today but someone I was talking to mentioned it and I thought 'yeah, some hipster phone-apps thing that nobody has ever heard of...'

Available in 58 countries and 300 cities, apparently, and quite the thing among travellers.

Shit, when I'm in London, I still think that Oyster cards are a pretty neat idea.

Watching the very funny 80's movie 'Blame It On Rio', where Michael Caine is a middle-aged man who has a fling with his best mates teenage daughter... I always thought he was SO old in that movie when I saw it as a teenager... and then realising he was four years younger than I am right now...

Kate, an erstwhile colleague is 58 soon and swears that 50s are better than 40s.....as you say. we will see what life brings.
