Aw, it's our largest species of owls, the Northern Eagle-Owl. Quite rare to see and it's become suspicious about humans because Northern Eagle-owls are one of the predator birds that have suffered because of humans. They were seen as
bringers of death in the past and their nests and clutch of eggs were destroyed. (There are numerous ancient beliefs about different animals in Finland that have had long traditions in pagan past).
Oh, just check
this awesome video from a roof of the main post centre in Helsinki. There's a security camera that filmed while this great and cute owl was having a lunch (eating a rabbit or something) at front of the camera at the roof - the owl saw, or heard the camera! It's until now that some of these larger predator animals have dared to come to the cities after other animals, and they've even had a nest somewhere at the roofs.
Ain't it cute and wonderful bird?
