You and me both honey  - it hurts today, my voice is just a croaky whisper and I bet it's a couple of days before the last ache fades away but more than worth it. Brilliant night  ;D

For me it's a case of 'the good old days'  When you could drop a tab and smoke a reefer in the gig and come home fine or not come home home at all and, well I don't do drugs now and now we can't smoke a cigarette in the venue, or even sneak a bottle of vodka in and so the bar costs a fortune and then I'm outside as soon as the pop hits are being played for a ciggie and I'd rather just sit at home and watch the thing with a bottle of whiskey and as much ciggie smoking as my ashtray can take...but my theme for tonight is ; (semi ******* colon ok) I missed a great gig last night - and it was for a very worthy family  reason so that is ok - BUT! did any of you catch it on your phone?  I want to watch that gig!
Ray - as it's you who put this thread alive and as there are very few folk I 'know' who like Fish as much as I do I want to say the first Fish solo gig I saw was his first tour - I was tripping and  he had me and my bro in creases with his postures and mannerisms - we were killing ourselves laughing through the gig - it was so funny - now all these years later Fish is one of the few that I would still bother to go see - and that's because he's got a depth that hits in person and doesn't hit as well in studio or youtube.

Agreed, mate.. Fish is an act that is so much better live than on CD or whatever...

Damn, my low cash situation and the fact that I'm getting out of work so late next Friday put a bit of a block on going to see him... but now I'm rethinking the whole thing... I might make it, couldn't I?  ???

Fish gig is on Friday?  Your not a Catholic are you?  We always had fish on Fridays...it was another one I misssed - he played Preston recently - I'm 44 and I'm just learning to drive.  Got some money and bought a car and thought - ok- start of a new adventure - I can miss the Fish gig for a car - real granddadmobile a suziki wagon R - dead cheap and it's well I really like it - but I thought I'd have passed my test by the time of the Manchester gig - no driving licence yet and so I won't see this Feast tour...shame, this one looks lke his best yet - I really encourage you to go Ray - not only has he had huge troubles with the vocal chords which is re enforcing his threat to quit touring but what a fantastic LP Feast of Consequences is to be performing - it's gonna be his best tour yet....

K, saw him last year in Warrington, touring the 'Feast' album... he was bloody brilliant.  Which is why I'm up for a repeat performance... he might have the pipes that he used to, but he makes up for it in sheer showmanship...

Oh sod it, it's not sold out, let's see if I can muster the energy...   ;)

Aw, it's our largest species of owls, the Northern Eagle-Owl. Quite rare to see and it's become suspicious about humans because Northern Eagle-owls are one of the predator birds that have suffered because of humans. They were seen as bringers of death in the past and their nests and clutch of eggs were destroyed. (There are numerous ancient beliefs about different animals in Finland that have had long traditions in pagan past).

Oh, just check this awesome video from a roof of the main post centre in Helsinki. There's a security camera that filmed while this great and cute owl was having a lunch (eating a rabbit or something) at front of the camera at the roof - the owl saw, or heard the camera! It's until now that some of these larger predator animals have dared to come to the cities after other animals, and they've even had a nest somewhere at the roofs.

Ain't it cute and wonderful bird?

Know how you all feel. Went to a Bad Religion gig this summer in Barcelona. The place was absolutley packed and I was down in the mosh pit as usual. The temperature must have been well above the 40s. About three quaters of the way through the gig I had to drag myself to the side as I was about to pass out from heat exhaustion. After throwing up and dowsing myself with ice I was asked by a kindly soul of a similar age if  I was OK. When I told him I'd been in the mosh pit, he just gave me a crazed look of despair and said I must be mad! I think he was right! Obviously I sat out the rest of the gig and when I got home I was able to ring out all my clothes as if they'd just come out of the washing machine.

The worst part was having to accept that I'm not in my twenties anymore and the old body just can't take the hammering it used to  :'(

Now that's rock 'n roll man!
I'm geared towards the averagae rather than the exceptional.

I must admit I find it hard to get myself to mid-week gigs, having to surface at 06.00am to go to work the day after, and I must confess that "Hotel" wins over "camping" at festivals if its possible, but I guess this is an age thing.
