There's 4 bands I've followed right from the beginning and continue to listen to everything they release now and have seen live numerous times;
1 NMA
2 Manic street preachers
3 Therapy?
4 Leatherface

I'm also somewhat obsessed by Motorhead,Metallica,slipknot,the sisters,the cult,spear of destiny,the chameleons,Depeche mode,talk talk,the damned,stiff little fingers,Sugar,stereophonics,Biffy clyro,social distortion and several dozen others.

As Jessie from the fast show might say though "today I've mainly been listening to" Creeper and electric callboy! (Sometimes you just have to take life less seriously!)

1-NMA
2-Nivana
3-Jane's Adiction
4-several other bands from my youth
The longer this century goes on, the more I feel I belong in the last one.

  • i'm trying to quit, but i just quit trying
Besides NMA, these are some Bands i've listened to for a very long time:

- Frankie Goes To Hollywood
I still love this band and the music they produced. Some would say it was kind of the first Boy Band and they are just products of the industry and i also thought about it tha way sometimes. And they only have made two albums. I think i'm very close to have almost everything, my collector madness kind of started with them, trying to get every special re-mix and it was just about 2021 when i met somebody who had some special mixes, which blew my mind again. And on that release and others there were some demo takes, where you could listen on how the songs were written and composed. Very good stuff, Liverpool is such a fantastic album.

- GWAR
Also a very "old" Band still performing and i think my first concert was about in 1993. I was and still am fascinated about their independance and creativity, doing all their stuff on their own, a group of artists, more of a theater show, not toning down for success. I've met Dave Brockie and the Band several times, made a video to a song and they loved it and there was also a project which was planned and i asked Dave if they could help us out with stage effects and he was totally up for it. Such a nice guy, but also a stupid bastard. I was devastated when i heard of his death.

- SAGA
That was my ever first live show in the Bonn Biscuithalle, must have been 1989 or 1990.
Haven't heard them for a while, but i had all the early albums on vinyl, which i lost and recently bought a box set of 5CDs, with Images at Twilight and Heads or Tales..great stuff.

- Motorpsycho
- The Sword
- Tortoise
- Tool
- Estradasphere
- Mr. Bungle
- Violent Femmes
Besides Tool and Estradasphere i was able to get to see them all live

ever tried. ever failed. no matter.
try again. fail again. fail better.

- Mr. Bungle

Do you like Faith No More? In high school I loved this band for "Angel Dust" and "The Real Thing," Mike Patton is an impressive singer but strangely I've never listened to one of his others bands, Mr. Bungle!
