Someone I know is going to one of those big sci-fi convention events... you know, the ones where everyone gets dressed up in costumes and queues for hours to meet an actor who was the third stormtrooper from the left in scene 34 of some Star Wars movie or other... I'm not putting it down, whatever floats your boat!

Apparently, if you want your picture taken with Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), it'll cost you £140... 

Seriously?  I'd pay him half that to regrout my bathroom!  And judging by his acting career since the early 80's, I would have thought that he'd be happy to take it!

Well... I just watched this weeks episode of '999 - Whats Your Emergency', excellent Channel 4 show...

Saw a depressing clip of police being called to a chippy on a grim street where a wild-eyed, nonsense-shouting skank, off her tits on 'legal highs', blood smeared all over her face, was screaming about how three guys kicked the crap out of her for no reason... only for it to turn out that she was making it all up and she just tried to bite her best friends face off...

Ladies and gentlemen... that chippy is literally 30 seconds around the corner from where I live! Yay, love my hometown and some of the people who live there!

Although, to be fair, it's a pretty good chippy when it doesn't have, you know, complete arseholes in it. They do Wrights Pies, so that's something.

Wrights pies are cracking good... but that's me off to Aldi tomorrow!  Kilmarnock, you say?

If some or any Scottish fella tells me anything about meat products, then I'm sold.  Lorne sausages...?  My one and only trip to Glasgow, a few years back, introduced me to those lovely square breakfast-y things...

Lorne or square sausage is available in most supermarkets not quite the same as the local butchers, think aldi do the haggis and steak pies as well from brownings , they have or had a pic of rabbie burns local Ayrshire whore master and sometimes poet lol on the front, worth checking out. Its essential to wash them down with irn bru and polish them off with a tunnocks tea cake. Fck no wonder were a unhealthy lot
