If you're ever about to buy sugar-free gummy bears, you should probably read the customer reviews first:

Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

On another Football forum Im on, the discussion is about Tier, Levels, Divisions and Steps being used in statements from various Football associations. Someone said how confusing it is amongst official blurbspeak...The alternative terms used for simplicity are: Dollops, Scoops and Portions.
 And Bojo's announcements are Boris-o-grams.
Tickled me.

Well, I believe the earliest I have ever seen Christmas stuff in a German supermarket was 28th August...a former co-worker of mine and I had this "tradition" - whoever spotted the first batch of "Spekulatius" (which my online translator says is speculoo in English - a term I have never heard so not entirely sure) had to buy it and bring it to work. We'd eat one or two pieces with a cup of coffee, then the rest was put away until we felt more "christmassy".  ;)

I actually bought a pack at the local Aldi yesterday, going to resume this work tradition with my new co-worker.  :D

The cover of the latest Private Eye - photo of Charlie 3 talking to someone in the mega-queue and him saying "How long have you been waiting?" to which the reply was " Not as long as you".

Being back on the NMA forum after a long time away... especially going onto my PM's and reading old PM messages exchanged between old pals, some of whom I had great times with at NMA gigs and most of whom are not active around these parts anymore.

Regardless of whether we ever communicate again I'll always have a lot of love for those folks, there was a time when we were somewhat tight and supporting of each other.   :)

Watching biathlon world cup at Nove Mesto. They seem to use AC/DC's Hells Bells tune in the start where the skiers engage into the contest right after the start gun launches. But the tune lasts only for 5 sec's. A bit weird choice to be honest.
