Body Piercing
« on: August 05, 2015, 03:56:23 PM »
Do you like it ?
Yes I do.
Do you have any ?
I have 23 at the moment. with 1 healed over.
Where are they ?
Ears including tragus (18),nose (2),tongue, boobies, belly button and eye brow healed over.
Professional or DIY ?
14 DIY the rest professionally.
How long have you had them ?
First earrings when I was about 10 (36 years ago), done by my mums mate who had a piercing gun left accidently at her house by her hairdresser. I did the others myself using safety pins/crass and exploited badges and a compass. This was because I was a rufty tufty little punky and we had a new headmaster take over a very dodgy school who enforced a school uniform and the only jewellery to be worn was a cross/crucifix/st Christopher and stud earrings only in newly pierced ears. Sooo, me and my mate Kaf continuously pierced our ears and suddenly found religion. She wore a cross and I wore a Star Of David because I saw Siouxsie wearing one !
My nose was done when I was about 20. I had the second one done a few months ago when Gavin was putting back my tragus after a brain scan.
My bellybutton was done about 20 years ago when piercing was very new. I was mooching about a tattoo shop when the a bloke asked if I was interested in having it done. He had seen all my earrings and commented on them wanting to know who/when they were done. So I had it done and the rest is history ! Everything else came pretty soon after that with most of it being done as a trial for the piercer.
Any problems ?
Never any problems with healing or infections. Not even the ones with badges that were licked to clean them !
I had a bit of a struggle getting my nipple ring back in yesterday after having all my jewellery out for hospital. Made myself quite sore.
School doesn't have a problem with all my jewellery. I've never been asked to take it out although I know they would prefer a lot less. Now it's very common to have more than one earing and body piercings and loads of the mums (and dads and nannas) have them too so I'm not looked at as a weirdo any more. The kids except it as the norm because they see it at home.
When I worked for Asda it was fine until Walmart took over and I could only wear one set of hoops that had to be smaller than a 5p. This caused a customer to write to Walmart and tell them how stupid the new rule was and that I had been serving her and her grandson for 10 years with them in and she had no problem with me or my earrings !
I used to get comments when I was young about the amount of earrings I had and the nose ring (and tattoos). Idiots asking me what tribe I was from. I grew up in the back of beyond, in Dorset. Things were like that back then in the arse end of nowhere. Things have changed now..slightly.

What about you ?
 :)
Whooosshhhh !!!

I currently have 5 , a 10mm flesh tunnel in my left ear lobe , two really small 1.6mm ball ring closures on the edge of my right ear. Both nipples', one is 5mm the other 3.2mm both ball ring closures. Used to have my nose (nostril right) done, Two earrings where my flesh tunnel is and one on my right ear edge. Used to have downstairs done a fermium and one above my testicles lol ( you asked)
Really like the ones I have currently and wouldn't take them out, bad experiences - both downstairs fell out after my body rejected them. The 5mm nipple one was sore as fck ( stretch piercing)
Had my first one at 12 , (ear lobe) the school didn't allow boys to have piercings back then.
Piercings can close up really quickly, I used to wear ones that could come out when I was sleeping and they were awkward to get back in when I woke up
Nice thread glad someone else is into piercings

Have to agree with Idopas (bloody hell, that's twice in one month, what's the world coming to?  ;D ), it's not something that appeals to me.  I like flesh more than metal.  But respect to all who are into this kind of thing...

I accidentally put a staple in my finger at work a few weeks back.  Does that count?   :-\   ;)

Stapling is surely more body modification n only counts if you left it in for at least the month lol

It's a Strange Brotherhood this place........................... I'm with MR & ldopas  :o

I have no problem with piercings - I just don't like them. I did have 7 earrings and a nose ring at one point but didn't like the nose ring and got fed up trying to sleep with the earrings !

Guess it's just down to personal taste  :)

Not for me either. I have quite a strong aversion to the idea of piercing my flesh (the word 'flesh tunnel' alone gives me the creeps!). But I don't even like wearing rings, necklaces or a watch.

Each to their own though.

The three of us are agreeing on something? My god jupiter is indeed in mars, cats will sleep with dogs and the book of revelations has opened!  ;)

I agree, of course people can choose what body modifications they want, after all our bodies are the one thing we own absolutely. Ive seen some really nice piercings, but it just ain't for me, the thought of someone jabbing something into my nether regions makes my eyes water just writing it!  :)

i like piercings to be honest. never had a whole bunch. two in one ear, and one in the other. could do a nipple or a willy one either. but i really like all sorts on others. i think it accentuates the individual in a way that all body art can. and we all know art takes different forms so we must embrace the diversity of it.

our young fella has nose, ears, tongue, lip, flesh inside top lip, and others. he likes the idea of ink too. let him on. he gets it done for himself. not for anyone else. i like that fact.

yes, very droll Drummyb  ;D

Personally I like the look of piercings on other people, particularly if they have quite a lot. Not so keen when a man has just one stud or earring, but each to their own. I do not have any because I hate having things attached to me. I wear no jewellery at all and never have. I cannot stand finger rings, don't even have a wedding ring. "Back in the day" I did used to pierce my ears with safety pins in the pub, and a few times across my wrist, but always took them out later.

Good Lord  :o

Pierced bags and somewhere else down here in the cellar there was talk of naked sweaty man-boobs......... the mind could get overloaded with unwanted imagery.

I've always quite like belly piercings though !
