After reading that only thing I think is that society should offer more opportunities to Muslim communities, maybe better jobs or something, and take them with the process in the western world.
Thanks for sharing, that was an interesting read. Brought to mind, unsurprsingly, the lyrics to "One of the chosen". It's easy to see why that works, I guess - I mean, if these people have nothing to lose, anything must seem so much more desirable. And once you have taken the bait it will be difficult to get out again, I am sure.

Better integration is the key indeed, but if I read and listen to what is going on around me here in Germany, with even seemingly sensible and intelligent people being worried and being unsettled by all sorts of rumours - I don't see how this is supposed to happen. It doesn't help that the media have a tendency to mainly report on all the negative things happening. It should be obvious that, while there is certainly some truth to it, these cases are an exception - but the majority of people never learn about things working out, going well. And our politicians don't seem to be too interested in offering a solution, in answering people's questions. Or maybe they can't. Or a bit of both.
