LIFELINE - Charity concert for refugees
Music offers joy, comfort, excitement, hope and so much more. The LIFELINE concert combines a unique musical experience with a clear purpose - to support unaccompanied, underage refugees in Austria.
For this purpose internationally renowned artists Justin Sullivan & Dean White from the English band New Model Army have announced their participation on this special evening.
The musical journey will commence with the profound and intense compositions of the Syrian-Austrian duet Salah Ammo and Peter Gabis.
Alp Bora, who was born in Turkey, grew up in Bagdad and lives in Vienna now, is a fascinatingly versatile musician, who derives much of his inspirations from the musical tradions of Anatolia and will surprise us on that evening by playing in a new formation.
Followers and fans from all across the planet cherish the albums and live-acts of New Model Army for over 36 years now. The acoustic versions of their songs played by Justin Sullivan and Dean White on this evening unfold a very unique intensity.
The deep, driving, samba-like drums of the „Batala Boom“ group will carry the concert phase to its climax, after which DJane Larissa („Club Global“) will open the stage with music from all over the world. The invitation to express, dance and exchange will be open until 3.30pm.
The net profit from ticket sales will be dedicated to the UMF project of SOS childrens village, providing various kinds of help to unaccompanied, underage refugees.
