Not for me, my facial hair goes all grey , I hate it when you haven't shaved for a few days and its as itchy as fck. Beards seem very trendy these days so another reason to avoid. I think once you get to a certain age they make you look even older

I do seem to have a large proportion of friends who have beards that are several inches south of their chins...

Not for me, my beard hair has gone FAR whiter than the rest of my hair (and I'm a rather hirsute fella) and I'm ageing far too quickly for my liking without growing a big grey old soup-catcher...  :)

Yes, I've had a gray beard in a way or another for 21 years. But last autumn I tried to be without it. I agree with pol about the age thing. Some people say I almost look like 60 years old. If they're serious, I don't know...

Ive been sporting one since Jan. Unfortunately my whiskers grow in several directions and it looks scraggy. So its clipped shorter.  Yeah mainly grey hairs but hey I can blame the missus and besides its hides saggy jowels lol.

I'm comfortable with mine now, same with my trusty old pipe, which tends to stain it a bit these days

Had one for a good few years up until about three years ago, when I was brushing my teeth one morning and an old hippy stared back at me from the mirror.  The beard went (but the hippy remained, somehow!) immediately.

Get's to that 3 or 4 week stage where your face feels like a field full of ants. Then it becomes more comfortable when the little hairs are given a chance to grow and develop without being chopped down in their youth. It builds body to a beard as a duck may grow "down"
