Germany were poor. TBH they never looked like scoring. South Korea didn't seem to offer much quality in the final third for most of the game but you couldn't see Germany scoring (quite rated the SK keeper). Somehow Germany played in a way that reminded me of England not so long ago - all those fantastic footballers but no sense of a team.
Very interesting to see how England get on against Belgium tomorrow, The win over Panama whilst not unexpected was a joy to watch. The big difference with the current team is that they seem to enjoy being there and are up for it. Perhaps the lack of expectation going into the tournament has been liberating.
Croatia have played the best so far I reckon but all in all it seems a very open competition as nobody appears to be an obvious frontrunner.
