Bumped into this Swedish rock group from early seventies called November. There's something about the singer that makes it sound so cozy to me that I absolutely love this album En ny tid är här... and I've been listening to it a lot at work lately. Perfect for a laid-back Sunday too. <3  :)

"Very little glory"...great underrated, moody early 80's song by The Opposition...stunning music and voice, but very different style from Molly Tuttle!:

Marianne Faithful -  "Sister Morphine" - like Nico, she could make some fantastically dark but brilliant music when the men who thought they knew best what she should be singing weren't getting in her way!

The four songs that Manic Street Preachers have released on YouTube before their new album 'Critical Thinking', out on Feb 14th.  Looks like it's gonna be another great album, their 15th, still love this band over the three decades I've been listening to them!   :)

'Critical Thinking', the new one by Manic Street Preachers.  One of my very favourite bands ever and, with their 15th album, still coming up with the goods after over three decades of mostly good output.

Pretty good year for albums so far and it's only just March!

Sam Fender - People Watching

The Slow Readers Club - Out of A Dream

The Wildhearts - Satanic Rites Of The Wildhearts

The Sky, The Earth And All Between - Architects

Constellations For The Lonely - Doves

and that Manic Street Preachers album I mentioned before, which I'm listening to right now.   ;)

Spike Island, Pulp. First time in a very long time I have heard a new song and liked it.

Bloody love Pulp, there was that whole 'Oasis vs Blur' thing going on in the 90's, I was always saying 'Neither of them, mate, Pulp are way better than either of them'!   ;)

I would have loved to see them live on the forthcoming tour but ticket prices were ridiculous. As is the case all too often these days.

Still, it's nice when a band you love have a new album out, their first in nearly a quarter of a century and something you thought would never happen.   :D

And yes, that song is excellent.

The new one by Sleep Token, a band who have become huge (selling out arenas and headlining the main stage at Download this year!) without me having never heard of them before about eighteen months ago.

If you fancy a band that mixes heavy rock, mental prog stuff, epic soundscapes with gorgeous balladry and even drifting into hip hop / rap at times (basically a band who don't give a sh!t about musical genre boundaries) then this might a band you want to check out.  The one's called Even In Arcadia and I highly recommend the previous one, Take Me Back To Eden.

 ;)
