"Horror Clowns Are Dickheads", the first track on official YouTube pre-release from Half Man Half Biscuit's upcoming new album

There was a comment on one of the HMHB fan sites recently musing whether the new American Pope would invite Slipknot for a visit, and if so, would they stick to the script defined in "Vatican Broadside"...

Skunk Anansie - The Painful Truth, their first one in the best part of a decade.  Really liking it.  Been into them since just before the first album came out and saw them in a tiny venue in Stoke when Skin was practically singing right into my face.  One of the greatest live bands I've ever seen, saw them in Leeds a few weeks back, just magnificent.

Always great when a band you've been listening to for 30 years or so put out a new one and it's a belter!

The Chameleons - Script Of The Bridge.

I remember the singer Mark Burgess supporting NMA at the London Astoria in a short lived band called Bird, they went down really well.  I'd never heard of the Chameleons at that point but I remember them playing a song with a recurrent lyrics that went 'the stuff that dreams are made of' and got a great response... some years later, as a new member of this fine Forum, I asked if anyone remembered this band and what the tune was and I was told it was 'Second Skin' from the aforementioned album.  It's been a personal favourite since then...   :)

OK, Pulp's new album is my favourite of the year so far... every track a great one, right up there with the Tripla of magnificent albums that was His N Hers / Different Class / This Is Hardcore...  :)

Half Man Half Biscuit's new album "All Asimov and No Fresh Air" - another stormer of an album from Wirral's finest, some fantastic tracks on there and of course, plenty of strangeness in the lyrics, such as a goth ventriloquist's dummy (Falmouth Electrics) or visiting Legoland on acid (Possible Side Effects).

Ah, didn't know it was out yet, I'll be sure to check it out asap!

Might be a couple of days though, I've been growing a mullet so I can go mad with a mallet in Millets...  ;)
