Finally, after quite a good number of years, finally finding and making contact with someone you were romantically involved with 'back in the day' and that relationship had a bit of a horrible ending... and then having a bit of an internet 'chat' and putting all that awful stuff to rest.

I'm sure a lot of us have had bad relationships in the past, but we've grown up and can see those same people as friends.  I feel so much better for this.

Does anyone else use the "add to buddies" list facility. I got four buddies on-line at this time.

When you log on, if there is a few on-line, it will say, 1, 2 buddies on-line, and highlight their name. To add people, click on their name, the add to your list option is there. Now at this time, I still got four. Barty has gone off, but Brian-DC has joined.

The fact that my body-fat percentage is now 20% (which is in the athletic range) after being considered over-weight a year and a half ago. Also having the knowledge to help other people live a healthier lifestyle.

got it. I never think of checking who is online to be honest. in fact I think my browser is almost permanently connected anyway.

What is the point of the buddy thing then chaps or am I missing something? There's that bit at the bottom of the main board page which tells ya' who's online so what does it add? (I am a Luddite  )

I think I mentioned, quite a while back, about how my beloved and deceased Grand-dad was an MBE war hero and a big figure in the Royal British Legion... when he passed away, he was commemorated in a RBL stall at my local market, complete with copper plaque and everything... but Cheshire East council (bastards) have thrown them out in favour of, I dunno, something that will pay more ******* money or something... 

Well, the RBL have a new home, just up the road, and there's a big new (re)dedication ceremony tomorrow morning, 10AM, at the new 'Ernest Cope Centre', dedicated to all war veterans and ex-army folks who might need a little help...

I will be there, in a rarely smart condition, so proud of my Grand-dad...

Just the amazing beauty of the countryside on a summer's day the different shades of the fields the elevation changes, the trees,cows and sheep, the farmer out working the with the birds swooping over his tractor and the hills of the Isle of Arran in background.

Ran into an old friend / workmate today, who I haven't seen in 7 or 8 years, and it was just like yesterday...

Even better, we popped into a nearby pub and he was completely happy to buy the drinks (seeing as he's working and I'm not, right now, and I'm pretty broke) without any expectation from me for him to do so... he was just happy to catch up and be in my company.

Well, that's my faith in human nature restored a bit... 

Be warned, though, I've had a few drinks so I might post some utter bollocks later...
