Back from that weekend break in London. Went to the Madness gig but left it to tea-time seeing as it was so bloody hot in London and I suspected (and was proved to be right) there was no bloody cover from the sun anywhere, I don't do well in those conditions! Szmurf, Slaves were announced as the main support of the evening, so I expected them to be on at about 7, but showing up at 5. they were half way through their set.

Sounded great though, I suspect that seeing them in a small venue is probably the way to go. Still, got to watch Soul 2 Soul and De La Soul and then Craig Charles playing some records, though...

Madness were great, as always, but the way that London Transport handle these events (don't ask) and the ridiculous charge for drinks (4 cans of San Miguel = £22?) has made me think that these big festival events are not quite for me anymore...
