Aw, not something that 'made me smile or laugh today', but last night.. a works night out as the only man in a team full of northern women...  :o

Got in at 2.30AM and all I can say is that... well, you know how some people talks about 'men behaving badly on a night out'?  Jeez, that's nothing... nothing at all.  I think the world of my workmates, they're brilliant ladies, and usually so sensible, but once the wine sinks in, blimey, if they went to an NMA pre-gig meet, then ten minutes later, muthafuckas would be running out!   ;D  Put it like this, I had about seven pints and a couple of shots and I was the relatively sober one.

A hilarious and brilliant night.  So glad I work with these folks.

Ha!  The Guardian had an online Q+A with the brilliant actress Vicky McClure (aka Lol from 'This Is England'), I posted a question about if she agreed that Nottingham Rock City is a great venue and if she ever used to go there when I did (she's from Nottingham) and she responded 'Agreed. I used to go to Rock City... so every chance our paths have crossed. Love that sticky floor!'

This made me laugh - kids drawings are so crap but you have to say nice things and be encouraging, a bit like sitting through those awful christmas plays when they are in primary school

Sad that even modern documentarys are biased, if pagans were so bad why did Christianity steal so much of it

Was reading a piece about the Donald in The Guardian, then ventured down into the comments section. Pretty sure one of us was commenting there (a rare user name methinks) and seemed surprising that that "pinko lefty rag" would have been of interest ...........  ;D

Had free reign on the "jukebox" tonight and so I've gone fully NMA. Virtually all of it has been stuff from the last 3 or 4 years. This band is over 30 years old - how _fucking good are they  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

True that, sister.  I'll put their recent output as good as ANYTHING they ever put, in parts even better.   8)

Re-reading the 'What Is Your Best NMA Memory' thread in its entirety.  Some wonderful stories and some moving ones too.  Anther reminder (as if I needed one) about how special and unique this band (and, of course, its followers) truly are.  I'd recommend you do the same.

 ;)
