OK, here's a new one... Top 5 Movie Twists (but without saying what film they were from... so what film do you reckon it was from?)

I'll give you the first one as an easy one, just to ease you into this post...  :)  Also, it might be a bit spoiler-y...   ;D

1 - The chick was a dude.

2 - The hitman murdered his wife and son after, somewhat ignorantly, thinking it was a satanic cult hunchback...

3 -  Oh, bloody hell, I inadvertently shagged my daughter whilst on a crazed vengeance quest!

4 - I'm the bloke I've been looking for all along!

5 - It was Michael Caine!  In drag!  With a razor!

What films do you reckon they were from?

Please post a spoiler alert when you respond...  ;)

Yes, sir, I suspected you'd get that one!   ;D

Anyone want to carry on this concept?  The more vague the question, the more fun it will be to figure it out!   ???

Master Ray is well behind the times (pun intended)

Nearly twenty years ago, in 1999 when THE SIXTH SENSE was released, the producers of that film sent a note to all critics begging them not to reveal the ending. A critic from The New York Times was a cheeky wise guy so what he did was he wrote a column, just listing famous endings from film history. He didn't give the film title, just the ending. My memory can recall some:

- the President nukes New York
- they both die in the end
- they all die in the end
- he is his father
- it's dead people
- he's always been on Earth

And he ended his column with this one:
- it's a sled, stupid!

Great column, the list was long and it was a great game to play with movie buffs.

2) What Godzilla said to God when his name wasn't found in the Book of Life - American Music Club
3)  Some People Know All Too Well How Bad Liquorice, Or Any Candy For That Matter, Can Taste When Having Laid Out In The Sun Too Long – And I Think I Just Ate Too Much - The Hives
4) My Cosmic Autumn Rebellion (The Inner Life as Blazing Shield of Defiance and Optimism as Celestial Spear of Action)- The Flaming Lips
And, of course,

Not a song title, but surely Fiona Apple gets the 'longest album title of all time' title with 'When the Pawn Hits the Conflicts He Thinks like a King What He Knows Throws the Blows When He Goes to the Fight and He'll Win the Whole Thing 'fore He Enters the Ring There's No Body to Batter When Your Mind Is Your Might so When You Go Solo, You Hold Your Own Hand and Remember That Depth Is the Greatest of Heights and If You Know Where You Stand, Then You Know Where to Land and If You Fall It Won't Matter, Cuz You'll Know That You're Right.'

Catchy.   ;D

Master Ray - When did you visit Nashville and what made you think it was so great?  I've lived here the past 20 yrs and can't figure out what people see in it.

Hey, mate!  Hope you're well.

If you lived in the shitty, dull northern UK town that I do, you could visit the Fifth Circle Of Hell and think 'well, this is quite a fun place...'   ;)

About seven years ago and I had a great time.  To be honest, I only visited because me and a couple of pals were visiting that part of the US and one of our number is a big fan of modern country music.  Personally, I grew up listening to 'old-style' country music, my parents were big fans, I wasn't terribly fond of that genre but what the hell, I'm always up for new experiences.  Three days, I really enjoyed them all.  Maybe it was the company I was with, maybe it was the state of mind I was in at the time (certainly better than where I am now), it was certainly due to some of the nicest folks I've ever met in the US... visited some live music clubs and was quite impressed with what I heard, drank my body weight in beer and laughed my arse off with great friends... it was just an enjoyable couple of days!

Bear in mind this is a 'personal favourite list', not 'definitive best' list.  I had a great time in Nashville and would like to go back one day. Other experiences may differ!  It's all about perspective.  I've met US folks who were visiting places in the UK and were having the time of their lives in places I would regard as nothing special.  Maybe if I'd spent longer there, I might have gotten bored with it.  Doesn't matter.  I love those memories.

So, yeah, I was a fan of Nashville for the brief time I was there.  Nice to know I've got an NMA buddy over there so I've got doubtlessly got somewhere to crash when I return.  In fact, what the heck, I've just booked my plane tickets!  I'll be over next Monday morning, that OK?  I expect you to pick me up from the airport...  ;)  ;D
