train bus or car to Shipley, eat at Aagrah if you want a decent curry; while you're in the area, Baildon Moor & Shipley Glen can be done on the same trip. do the moor & glen in daylight, then Aagrah to replace those calories burnt on a good walk.
National Media Museum
a show at the Alhambra if there's anything on that grabs your fancy
some great Victorian architecture despite more recent attempts to "modernise" it e.g. The Wool Exchange; City Hall - statues of all the kings & queens of England from William I to Victoria around the building about 1 or two floors up; the wool merchants' warehouses in Little Germany. And of course, "the hole" (an urban 'park' ie a bit of grass and some pathways) where a fancy new shopping mall might, just might, one day be built.
If you like your football (soccer) then Bradford City's ground (traditional name "Valley Parade", current sponsored name is IIRC "The Coral Windows Stadium") is a short walk from the city centre up Manningham Lane. Pretty visible from most parts of the city. No games on this weekend unfortunately, they're away at Rotherham in the FA Cup
out of season for Rugby League, no Union to speak of up here
but if you want to do shopping you'll probably have to go to Leeds ;-)
