I have been reading rather brainless thrillers lately and happy about it... From all of the detectives and whatnots, I think my favourite now is Carl Morck from Department Q series by Jussi Adler Olsen... I have literally stayed in bed for past five days just reading... Only valid reason for that is, because I can 8)  :'(

Just started reading Neil Gaiman's ''American Gods''. Less than fifty pages in, I'm already hooked. I love the feeling in the pit of my stomach that this is about to take me to a proper ride... :)

First off-topic: Ain't it a bit quiet in the forum....? And where's cthulhu?  :'( :)

...cthulhu has being called...;-)

That's really nice of you Tarsier to ask about me. It's been a while and i'm kind of struck in..ah..in, let's say... a lockdown. And it's becoming mental..i guess..but hey, thanks for asking i'm quite insanely fine!  8)

The picture shows the videogame "Call of Cthulhu" and at the bottom you're getting invited to "enter madness" It's from my point of view, with the beerglass at the bottom right and i thought a good way to portrait my existence at the moment;-)
The game is fantastic, love playing it, a very good adaption of Lovecraft, very atmospheric.

So recently i opened a package, stuff that i ordered, and when i opened it i found this:

I was a little bit thrilled and surprised, called it anotherlittle nice synchronicity for me...
The Book is a graphic novel, the second part to "Mountains of Madness" but in french. I love to collect Stuff inspired by Lovecraft, the creator of the "cthulhu myth" and found this graphic novel. I ordered the first part and was so pleased and blown away by the adaptation..

..but i couldn't find the second part to it. Then i found the french version and was happy. I don't remember why, but i thought about Pearl Jam, really love their music but lost them out of sight like after Vitalogy and found out about a new record. It was very cheap and without knowing anything about it i oreder it too.
So when i unpacked and put those things beside each other i kind of was thrilled..
And the more i was thrilled while discovering the new Pearl Jam album. Love it!

Two Songs from Gigaton:

Pearl Jam - Dance Of The Clairvoyants

Confusion is to commotion
What love is to our devotion
Imperceptibly big
Big as the ocean
And equally hard to control

So save your predictions
And burn your assumptions
Love is friction
Ripe for comfort
Endless equations
And tugging persuasions
Doors open up
To interpretation

Expecting perfection
Leaves a lot to ignore
When the past is the present
And the future's no more
When every tomorrow
Is the same as before

The looser things get
The tighter you become
The looser things get
Tighter

Not one man can be greater than the sun
That's not a negative thought
I'm positive, positive, positive

Falling down, not staying down
Coulda held me up, rather tear me down
Drown in the river

Expecting perfection
Leaves a lot to endure
When the past is the present
And the future's no more
When every tomorrow
Is the same as before

Numbers keep falling off the calendar's floor
We're stuck in our boxes
Windows open no more
Collecting up the forget-me-nots
Not recalling what they're for
I'm in love with clairvoyants
'Cause they're out of this world

I know the girls wanna dance
Away their circumstance
I know the boys wanna grow
Their dicks, and fix and fire things

I know the girls wanna dance
Clairvoyants in a trance
I know the boys wanna grow
Their dicks and fix and fire things

Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back when the spirit comes
Stand back

(Drown in the river)

Pearl Jam - Alright

You can't hide the lies
In the rings of a tree
If your heart still beats free
Keep it for yourself

When you want to run
And leave some part unrevealed
Like the flight of the bee
Keep it for yourself

It's alright to be alone
To listen for a heartbeat
It's your own
It's alright to quiet up
To disappear in thin air
It's your own

Should your living truth die
Could be an acid trip
Leave the Eucharist whole
Keep it for yourself

If you tire of the game
Hit the road towards the clouds
Find your groove in the sound
Keep it for yourself

It's alright to say no
Be a disappointment in your own home
It's alright to turn it off
Ignore the rules of the state
It's your own

It's alright to shut it down
Disappear in thin air
It's your home

It's alright to be alone
To listen for a heartbeat
It's your own

You can't hide your eyes

ever tried. ever failed. no matter.
try again. fail again. fail better.
