OK, the latest arsebollocks by silver-spoon-fed, rich boy, dead-pig-botherer Cameron's speech today about how 'there is no link between welfare cuts and poverty'...
Seriously? Can anyone actually fall for this shit?
Well, possibly, Mr Cameron himself... It's entirely possible that Cnuteron actually believes all this nonsense. After all, he inhabits a totally different conceptual universe from most of us. Poverty is unimaginable, literally, to him so there's no conflict between slashing the services and the incomes of the poorest and preaching about "improving life chances". Looking further into it, his starting salary for his first job (that he had no real qualifications for or experience in) was £90K per year. His mother in law, sitting on the board of Carlton (UK media company), placed him in that job. The Queen, a distant cousin (fifth cousin, once removed) , put in a good word for him to get his gig with the Bloody Tories. These are facts, feel free to look them up...
He's also talks about the new 'affordable housing' that the government want to build in the London area (for first time buyers) starting at £400,000...
Back to the 'no link between welfare cuts and poverty' thing... I truly believe that The Tories have taken George Orwells brilliant novel '1984' not as a cautionary tale about how power can corrupt and how the media can distort the facts, but as a bloody instructional manual...
Anyway, I'm sure ldopas will be back to tell me how wrong I am, all I can say is... don't fall for the doublespeak. But I know you're all smart enough to take that on board...
Seeing as you named me i'll respond. Well in the facts that you posted you are correct. The assumption I would disagree with it all tells me you have ignored just about all my posts.
And as for the rest it is a rant. Everyone is allowed a rant no problem.
But my real issue is that you and Anna are happy to write your emotional and physical issues and tell us it is all about people and yet you have a pop about me and Davey Boy for absolutely no reason. Did you ever think of where we might be emotionally or physically when you post?
Let me tell you then that I am recovering in Stafford Hospital from a life threatening event which happened a week ago. Makes ya think don't it.
ldopas... three things. Firstly, I meant that in a jokey way but after re-reading it I can appreciate that it didn't come across like that. I apologise and concur. Seriously, no personal offence was intended.
Secondly... no idea about your personal health issues, but I genuinely, 100% hope you're gonna be OK.
Thirdly (and most importantly IMO), you don't have to tell me about 'life threatening events'. You did pick up on my posts about my heart attack in November? Truly life-changing, as you mentioned. I was in the specialist unit at Royal Stoke. Made a full recovery, going to cardio rehab every week, should be fine. I see people every week who have it far worse than I do.
I presume you're getting your treatment on the NHS? Is something really bad happening to you there, is the treatment not very good? Mine was excellent. I truly hope yours is too. And this is why, more than EVER, I will defend the NHS to the end. I don't trust The Tories with the NHS, neither do my friends currently working there. They might benefit, financially, if the whole thing goes private but that's not what they're interested in.
Please, please, don't get worked up about our disagreement on this subject, just get better and we'll resume where we left off. I still stand by my opinion of Cameron but, hell, what do I know, eh?

Get well soon, mate.
